Dr. Heidi Perreault chose to become a veterinarian so she could work with animals and the people that love them. She enjoys all aspects of her job with particular interests in surgery, feline medicine, endocrinology, and cardiology. Dr. Perreault received her Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University. In addition to her schooling, she completed an internship in Small Animal Emergency, Medicine and Surgery at Michigan Veterinary Specialists.

Dr. Perreault enjoys spending time outdoors, endurance horse riding, playing soccer, running and camping. She spends free time with her husband Tom and animals including her bouncy Labrador Retriever Piper, young Pomeranian Finn, Persian cat Benz, Parrot Doc, Arabian horse Riku and various chickens. Some of Dr. Perreault's memorable experiences include summiting Mt. Harvard in Colorado, gold panning in the Yukon and publication of a behavioral endocrinology manuscript from field research conducted in the Virgin Islands.

Dr. Perreault is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association.
