
Dr. Karen Kennedy received both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in microbiology from the University of Georgia. She worked in research for Emory University, the Centers for Disease Control and the Environmental Protection Agency before earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University. Dr. Kennedy is a member of the AVMA and NCVMA.
Dr. Kennedy knew she wanted to be a veterinarian as early as elementary school. Her devotion to animals is evident in both her professional and personal life. The current menagerie consists of five dogs, three cats, and two horses. Her latest undertaking is doing agility training with her Gordon Setters. She enjoys life on the farm with her family and friends.
